A fundamental part of the language and culture program is giving students opportunities to be leaders in cultural and school activities. Two kinds of representatives are chosen for grades 3-5: KCA Royalty and KCA Student Council. For Student Council, classes nominate and elect two students who will have the responsibility of advocating for the class’s and school’s needs. These elections run in October, at the same time that students learn about Tribal Council and Ute Government. The 2025-2026 year will be the first year of KCA Royalty so watch this space.
